Today, we are extra happy that we took the opportunity to develop this building. We saw potential where many others saw a hopeless gray block of concrete. We had a vision, and our vision convinced the tenant market. In record time it was fully leased. When it was time for us to sell the property, we received bids from all over Europe showcasing a strong demand for high quality properties with environmental focus.

- Allan Strand Olesen, Genesta.

Genesta´s project KB32 in Copenhagen has been awarded “Office Property of the year 2022” by Norhcon. "The transformation from Copenhagen's ugliest building to this simple, stylish and timeless office building - is remarkable", says the professional jury about KB32.

Genesta bought the former freight railway terminal on Kalvebod Brygge 32 in central Copenhagen in February 2018 and refurbished the 31,700 square meter property to fit the new tenants’ demands. When completed, the building was transformed into a modern and unique office building with a new façade and a roof top terrace.

“Today, we are extra happy that we took the opportunity to develop this building. We saw potential where many others saw a hopeless gray block of concrete. We had a vision, and our vision convinced the tenant market. In record time it was fully leased. When it was time for us to sell the property, we received bids from all over Europe showcasing a strong demand for high quality properties with environmental focus.

To succeed with projects like this you need the right people onboard. We want to thank all of our partners, who made this project possible, including the seller DSB.”
