Genesta Acquires 20,600 sqm Logistics in Denmark
We are delighted with this acquisition, which aligns perfectly with our fund strategy. In partnership with Logistic Contractor, we will develop an impressive logistics facility in an excellent location.
- David Neil, CEO of Genesta.
Genesta further expands its logistics portfolio with the acquisition of a 20,600 sqm logistics property under construction in Solrød, 25 minutes south of Copenhagen. It is an off-market transaction with Logistic Contractor A/S, part of the Wästbygg Group. Genesta will be responsible for leasing out the premises to 1-2 tenants. This marks Genesta's sixth logistics acquisition in the past two years.
- We are delighted with this acquisition, which aligns perfectly with our fund strategy. In partnership with Logistic Contractor, we will develop an impressive logistics facility in an excellent location, says David Neil, CEO Genesta.
Situated next to the E20 highway, the location offers last-mile deliveries to Copenhagen and efficient connections to the rest of Denmark, Sweden and Europe. The building will be developed with a strong focus on sustainability, in line with EU taxonomy and aiming for BREEAM environmental certification at the Excellent level. With this investment, Genesta will offer forward-thinking businesses a sustainable, modern, and efficient logistics facility in one of the most sought-after logistics hubs in the Nordics.
Preparatory groundwork and detailed planning will commence this autumn, with Genesta taking ownership of the property at the end of 2024, approximately one year after construction begins.
- It is excellent to secure another project with Genesta. This autumn, we will hand over Enköping Logistikcenter, an 80,000 square-meter logistics facility, to them. While this building is not as large, it shares similarities in its design, says Benn Karlberg, CEO of Logistic Contractor.
