The office building Art8n in central Stockholm has achieved the esteemed BREEAM In-Use certification at the "Excellent" level. Earning this certification involved a series of strategic upgrades and initiatives, all aimed at optimizing the building's energy efficiency and supporting sustainable practices.
Since Genesta acquired the building in 2020, we've focused on key sustainability initiatives, including:
- New Lighting Systems: New systems with daylight, time-channel, and presence controls, plus individual adjustment options.
- Advanced Building Management System: A comprehensive control system was introduced to optimize energy consumption through efficient heating/cooling and water-saving solutions
- Sustainable Transportation: We established dedicated bicycle parking and installed electric vehicle charging stations to encourage low-carbon transport options.
- Circular Initiatives: A shared re-use room was created, enabling tenants to exchange surplus materials and foster circular thinking.
- Green Inner yard: The transformation of the inner courtyard into a green space provides a nice and green environment for tenants.
